Genel Bakış
AYT Proje tarafından Samsun Büyükşehir Belediyesi için tasarlanan İlkadım Yüzme Havuzlu Spor Salonu, kısıtlı kentsel alanlarda spor tesisi yapımına getirdiği yenilikçi dikey çözüm modeliyle Türkiye'de bir ilk olma özelliği taşımaktadır. Toplam 12.100 m² inşaat alanına sahip bu çok katlı kompleks, hem yüzme havuzlarını hem de uluslararası standartlarda büyük bir spor salonunu bünyesinde barındırarak, İlkadım bölgesinin önemli bir sosyal ve sportif ihtiyacına cevap vermeyi hedeflemektedir.
Tasarım Zorluğu ve Bağlam
Projenin en temel çıkış noktası, Samsun Büyükşehir Belediyesi'ne tahsis edilen arsanın oldukça küçük olmasıydı. Belediyenin tüm taleplerine rağmen Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın daha geniş alanları tahsis etmemesi, AYT Proje'yi mevcut alanda maksimum fonksiyonelliği sağlayacak radikal ve yaratıcı bir çözüm geliştirmeye yöneltti. Bu durum, Türkiye'de pek örneği olmayan, dünyada ise sayılı gelişmiş ülkede (Almanya vb.) rastlanabilecek bir tasarım problemini ortaya çıkardı.
Mimari Yaklaşım ve Yenilikçi Çözümler
AYT Proje'nin bu zorluğa cevabı, fonksiyonları dikey eksende üst üste konumlandırmak oldu:
Türkiye'de İlk: Alt Katta Havuz, Üst Katta Salon: Projenin en çarpıcı yeniliği, zemin ve birinci katlarda öğrenme havuzu ve yarı olimpik yüzme havuzunu, ikinci katta ise 1161 kişilik, 10.6 metre net yüksekliğe sahip, hentbol standartlarındaki büyük spor salonunu konumlandırmasıdır. Bu dikey yerleşim, kısıtlı arsayı en verimli şekilde kullanmayı sağlamış ve Türkiye'deki spor tesisi mimarisi için öncü bir örnek teşkil etmiştir.
Tesisat Katının Dönüşümü: Fitness Merkezi: Bir diğer önemli yenilik ise, genellikle kapalı tutulan havuz tesisat katının (ara katın), kullanıcıya açık bir fitness salonuna dönüştürülmesidir. Bu yaklaşım, hem mekan verimliliğini artırmış hem de tesise ek bir fonksiyon kazandırarak Türkiye mimarlığı açısından etkin bina tasarımına yönelik özgün bir buluş olmuştur.
Çok Fonksiyonluluk: Büyük spor salonu, sadece Hentbol ve Basketbol gibi spor müsabakaları için değil, aynı zamanda konferans, sinema gösterimi gibi farklı kültürel ve sosyal etkinliklere de hizmet verebilecek esnek bir altyapıya sahip olarak tasarlanmıştır.
Fonksiyonel Organizasyon ve Tesisler
Kompleks, zemin ve üzerindeki üç katta çeşitli fonksiyonları barındırır:
Zemin Kat: Ana giriş alanı, 2 adet 150 m²'lik soyunma odası, 5 adet 25 m²'lik ofis, teknik alanlar ve 1 adet 930 m²'lik bireysel spor alanı. Havuz çanağı ve tesisat koridoru bu kattadır.
Birinci Kat: Öğrenme havuzu (13.10x7.10m, 85cm derinlik) ve Yarı Olimpik Havuz (25.10x13.10m, 1.65m derinlik), 2 adet havuz soyunma odası, 2 adet antrenör soyunma odası, 2 adet sauna ve fin hamamı, 1 adet 300 m²'lik bireysel spor alanı, 1 adet 180 m²'lik kafeterya, 1 adet 200 m²'lik seminer salonu, 5 adet 45 m²'lik antrenör odası, 1 adet 45 m²'lik tesis yönetici odası. Ayrıca havuz tesisat katından dönüştürülen fitness salonu.
İkinci Kat: 1 adet 1200 m²'lik, 10.6m net yüksekliğe ve 1161 kişi kapasiteye sahip Büyük Spor Salonu. 4 adet 80 m²'lik soyunma odası, 4 adet 50 m²'lik hakem soyunma odası ve 2 adet 400 m²'lik bireysel spor alanı.
Üçüncü Kat: 2 adet 300 m²'lik bireysel spor alanı, 1 adet 250 m²'lik fitness salonu ve 1 adet 50 m²'lik VIP oda.
Otopark: Yönetmeliğe uygun 65 araçlık açık otopark ve 2 otobüs park alanı.
Bölgesel Etki ve Gelecek Vizyonu
Haziran 2025'te tamamlanması beklenen Samsun İlkadım Yüzme Havuzlu Spor Salonu, sadece bölgenin spor altyapısını güçlendirmekle kalmayacak, aynı zamanda sunduğu sosyal ve kültürel olanaklarla İlkadım bölgesindeki sosyal sorunlara çözüm üretmesi beklenen önemli bir merkez olacaktır. Bu proje, AYT Proje'nin en zorlu kentsel kısıtlamalara dahi nasıl yenilikçi, fonksiyonel ve cesur mimari çözümler getirebildiğinin bir kanıtıdır.

Overview
Designed by AYT Proje for Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, the İlkadım Swimming Pool & Sports Center stands out with its innovative vertical solution model for constructing sports facilities on limited urban plots, a first of its kind in Turkey. This multi-story complex, with a total construction area of 12,100 m², houses both swimming pools and a large international-standard sports hall, aiming to address a significant social and sporting need in the İlkadım region.
The Design Challenge and Context
The fundamental starting point for the project was the extremely small size of the plot allocated to the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality. Despite the municipality's requests, the Ministry of National Education's reluctance to allocate larger areas prompted AYT Proje to develop a radical and creative solution to achieve maximum functionality on the existing site. This situation presented a design problem rarely encountered in Turkey, with only a few examples found in developed countries like Germany.
Architectural Approach and Innovative Solutions
AYT Proje's response to this challenge was to position the functions vertically, one above the other:
A First in Turkey: Pool Below, Hall Above: The project's most striking innovation is the placement of the learning pool and semi-olympic swimming pool on the ground and first floors, and the large, 1161-seat, 10.6-meter clear height, handball-standard sports hall on the second floor. This vertical arrangement allowed for the most efficient use of the limited plot and set a pioneering example for sports facility architecture in Turkey.
Transformation of the Equipment Level: Fitness Center: Another significant innovation is the conversion of the pool equipment level (an intermediate floor), which is usually enclosed, into a publicly accessible fitness center. This approach not only increased spatial efficiency but also added an extra function to the facility, representing an original architectural invention for efficient building design in Turkey.
Multi-Functionality: The large sports hall is designed with a flexible infrastructure to host not only sports competitions like Handball and Basketball but also different cultural and social events such as conferences and cinema screenings.
Functional Organization and Facilities
The complex accommodates various functions across its ground floor and three upper floors:
Ground Floor: Main entrance area, 2x 150 m² changing rooms, 5x 25 m² offices, technical areas, and 1x 930 m² individual sports area. The pool basin and equipment corridor are located on this level.
First Floor: Learning pool (13.10x7.10m, 85cm depth) and Semi-Olympic Pool (25.10x13.10m, 1.65m depth), 2 pool changing rooms, 2 coach changing rooms, 2 saunas & Finnish baths, 1x 300 m² individual sports area, 1x 180 m² cafeteria, 1x 200 m² seminar room, 5x 45 m² coach rooms, 1x 45 m² facility manager's office. Also includes the fitness center converted from the pool equipment level.
Second Floor: 1x 1200 m² Large Sports Hall with a clear height of 10.6m and capacity for 1161 spectators. 4x 80 m² changing rooms, 4x 50 m² referee changing rooms, and 2x 400 m² individual sports areas.
Third Floor: 2x 300 m² individual sports areas, 1x 250 m² fitness center, and 1x 50 m² VIP room.
Parking: Compliant with regulations, providing 65 open parking spaces and 2 bus parking spaces.
Regional Impact and Future Vision
Expected to be completed in June 2025, the Samsun İlkadım Swimming Pool & Sports Center will not only strengthen the region's sports infrastructure but is also anticipated to become a crucial hub expected to offer solutions to social issues in the İlkadım area through the social and cultural opportunities it provides. This project is proof of AYT Proje's ability to deliver innovative, functional, and bold architectural solutions even under the most challenging urban constraints.
